“If we are to remain one of the safest parishes in Louisiana, we will have to ensure that the office of District Attorney is a no-nonsense, by-the-books prosecutorial arm of justice. The next District Attorney will have to work with all divisions of justice to keep violent criminals off our streets. We will have to achieve more with less. It will be the responsibility of the next District Attorney to be both efficient and effective. I am trained and tested for the task.” - Vincent

With just under two months until early voting, attorney/businessman and former St. Tammany Assistant District Attorney Vincent Wynne commands a wide 30% to 16% lead over his opponent Collin Sims.
Wynne's 2 to 1 margin held across party lines with Republicans choosing Wynne 33% to 17% and Democrats choosing Wynne 29% to 16%. Wynne also led across every jurisdiction In Washington Parish, Wynne leads 27% to 12 %. In East St. Tammany, Wynne leads 27% to 21% and in West St. Tammany, Wynne widens his lead to 32% to 14%.
The poll conducted by veteran demographer and pollster Greg Rigamer was taken between January 10th and 12th. The survey of 300 live respondents has a 5.5% margin of error. Said Rigamer, *Vincent Wynne and Collin Sims had similar name recognition and favorability throughout the district. In an initial ballot, Vincent Wynne was the preferred candidate by a margin of 14 points with half the voters remaining undecided. Wynne led in each area of the district; among Republicans, Democrats, and independents; and with males and females. What was even more encouraging for Wynne was once voters were informed of each candidate's experience, Wynne maintained his position over Sims in a final "informed" ballot."
Said Wynne, "We are experiencing broad support from across the district. I am taking my message to every part of both Washington and St. Tammany Parishes. Voters want a strong District Attorney to keep us safe; one who will prosecute criminals instead of negotiating with them, one who will manage efficiently without new taxes, and one who will be accountable and approachable to the people of the district. While I am pleased with the poll results, I will continue to run full speed to the finish because I believe the people of these parishes deserve a District Attorney who is wholeheartedly committed to our safety and serenity."
Amongst decided voters only, Wynne is far out in front with 65% of those who have made a choice to Collin Sims 35%. The election is scheduled for March 23, 2024.
